Go on a short-term trip to serve alongside this church-plant

ABOUT US: We have been married for five years and are parents to a wonderful and busy toddler named Lewis and a daughter named Ana Joy, who we will meet in eternity. We both grew up as military brats, so home has always been a moving target, but we say we’re from Florida (Audrey) and California/Virginia (Charlie). Audrey went to Florida State University for mechanical engineering and I (Charlie) will soon graduate with a master’s in theological studies from Southwestern Seminary. We met and were married in Newport News, Va., and we’ve been following a call towards ministry ever since. We love hiking, the mountains, road trips and good eats – especially in SoCal. 

ABOUT THE CHURCH: Audrey and I have always had a fantasy that we’d quit our jobs and move to San Diego one day. I was born in the L.A. area and lived in San Diego during my middle school years, and during our marriage we’ve both developed a deep love for California in general and San Diego specifically. Everything clicked in the spring of 2017 when we realized that our love for San Diego, our careers (engineering and IT) and our call towards ministry were all aligning in a call to plant a church in San Diego. We’ve been working towards that goal ever since. We believe that every Christ-follower is called to view their life and vocation as a holistic ministry, and we are passionate about starting and leading a church that allows space for each believer to align their lives around the specific mission God has for them and their family.
