Matt Hunter

I grew up in St. Louis Missouri. I lived 3 minutes from my wife, Lauren, but we didn’t meet until college.  Our love story really deserves its own Hallmark movie!  We met at the University of Missouri, got married in May of 2008, and we moved to Texas in the fall of 2009 for me to attend Seminary. In God’s goodness, He paved the way for us to land in Arlington. We came to visit Fielder one Sunday morning, and during the invitation, the Lord clearly told me, “Matt, this is your church.”  We became members and shortly after, I was hired to be the High School Pastor at the Pioneer Campus.

In 2013, we moved back to St. Louis to lead a student ministry there.  The summer of 2015, we were asked to pray about coming back to Fielder to lead the Student Ministry of Fielder Church.  I will never forget when Lauren and I read the vision article for the very first time.  Our hearts burst inside of us and we thought, “who wouldn’t want to be a part of a church like that.”  Through much prayer, the Spirit of God made it clear that He was leading us back to Fielder. Coming back to Fielder has been the greatest and wildest adventure of our lives.  I served as Student Pastor for 5+ years and in August of 2021, I was blessed to become the Campus Pastor at Fielder – South Oaks. We couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of what God is doing at Fielder.

Lauren and I have 3 beautiful little girls and identical twin boys who love to grunt, wrestle, and cuddle with their momma!  My life’s aim is to magnify Jesus, joining Him on His mission to carry the good news of the gospel, ready to share it wherever I go.  If I can be an encouragement to you in anyway, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
