Paul Durand
Children's Associate Pastor
My name is Paul Durand. I was born in New Orleans, LA. At the age of 5 my mom joined the military and we started a trek across the US that would lead us to Maryland, via NYC, and Washington, DC. I attended the University of Maryland, graduating with a Degree in Criminal Justice. Shortly after graduation, I joined the US Military, where I attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. I served for 6 years in the military, deploying to Iraq once, before exiting the military and becoming a Law Enforcement officer here in North Texas.
My family consists of my amazing soulmate and bride, Kathryn, along with our awesome blended babies Natalie, Abigail, Paul III, and Joseph. We also have some fur babies that complete our crew. I have volunteered here at Fielder in the Children’s Ministry since 2018, primarily working with the preteens.
The Lord has been calling me to a bigger, higher purpose. Unfortunately, I continued to run from that calling, often making excuses as to why I was pursing the things I was pursing. It took a season of hard circumstances and seasons and a change in priorities for me to see the life change that was needed. When God was placed at the top of my priority list, followed by my lovely bride, children, and then the things of this world, I experienced life change through Jesus. It has been a wonderful transformation.
I am eager and excited to partner with families to shepherd kids to Christ in order to build a gospel centered foundation in their lives where they belong, believe, and become like Jesus.
