IN THIS ROOM
Walk up to the Unreached People Group (UPG) banners displayed. Grab a bookmark and pen.
Choose some people groups from the banner and write them on your bookmark.
Spend time praying over these people groups, then put the bookmark in your bible to be reminded to pray for these people throughout the year.
REFLECTION
An unreached people group (UPG) is an ethnic group among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate resources to evangelize their own people. Typically, this is measured by less than 2% of the population self-identifying as believers. In other words, UPGs are people who have never had the opportunity to hear the gospel in a way that they can understand and respond to.
The 7,253 people groups listed on the banners represent over 3.3 billion people, which means more than 41% of the world’s population have never had a chance to hear about Jesus Christ, much less respond. Join us in praying that God would open doors to reach UPGs and that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts to bring them to salvation.
PRAY
Pray that every UPG would know the gospel and be represented in heaven. (Rev. 7:9-10, Phil. 2:5-11)
Pray for converts in UPGs to have the boldness to preach and that even through persecution the gospel will spread. (1 Cor. 4:12, 1 Peter 4:12-14)
Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers and to raise up more laborers. (Matthew 9:38, Luke 10:2)
